My experience living at glassyard this year has been very turbulent. On the plus side, it is an incredibly social accommodation with lots of lovely people from different campuses (I will say the majority are from LCC so if you are at a different uni prepare to only meet a few from yours). The general building is good and the rooms do their jobs. Transport and connection to the city are very good, with clapham just a short walk away. The management of the building is poor. Kitchen inspections every month but don’t forget they can actually just come and inspect your kitchen whenever they like and charge you over £100 to get it ‘professionally cleaned’ if they fancy it (pictures attached of kitchen after said professional clean). They will charge you if you haven’t taken the bins out that day or if there is water in the bottom of the fridge (seems like something they should fix if I’m being honest). You will be charged £60 for your wall to be repainted if there is even a single mark on it when you move out. On top of this, we were robbed at knifepoint right outside the building and were informed by the night staff that the cameras don’t work over there. He also did not even ask if we were okay. Reception staff were generally nice and friendly however they did not sort an ongoing bedbug infestation in one of the flats which I think is completely ridiculous. I recommend this place only if you have infinite money to spend on kitchen fines x
